Konopiste and Karlstejn Castles |

Description: Full-day guided tour shows you the two most important castles in the near surroundings of Prague. First we go to Konopiste, a lovely hunting castle, built in the 13th century, and rebuilt in the 19th century, which houses fascinating collections of historical weapons, furniture, paintings and tapestries. We continue to Karlstejn Castle, 35 kms southwest from Prague. Emperor Charles IV founded this medieval fortress in 1348 to house the coronation jewels and relics. Note: This tour is not recommended for less than keen walkers.
The castle Konopiste is opened from 1.April until 31.October daily except Monday. The castle Karlstejn is opened from 1.March until 13.November daily except Monday.
