Our PRIVATE tour is to explore Jewish history and culture. Jewish presence in the Czech Republic and Prague goes back 1,000 years. Jews have lived in Bohemia and Moravia as early as the tenth century. At the outbreak of the Second World War, there were about 90,000 Jews in Bohemia and Moravia, of whom nearly 80,000 were killed in the Holocaust. Most either died in the ghetto of Terezin or were deported from Terezin to Aushwitz. In Prague, after war, remains only about seven thousand Jews which have kept confiscated things and jewelry of killed Jews. These things became a basis for creation of the largest Jewish museum in the Europe.

The mainly commercial and industrial city of Rijeka blends into the famous Opatija Riviera, as do the charming smaller towns in the hills and along the bay, giving a wide variety of tourist attractions and sites of interest to the visitor.Rijeka itself has a mixture of impressive and historic buildings, including enough churches to justify its fame as a pilgrimage destination. The natural beauty surrounding the city complements the Old Quarter's pretty streets, grand buildings and architectural attractions. Tourists will find that the older part of the harbour is where many of the most appealing sights are located. However, if you are looking for sun and sand, then the Adriatic beaches around Rijeka may well tempt you away for the day.
