During your European vacation, you can visit Hungary and Budapest as well. If yes, please, do not forget to visit the House of Hungarian Parliament. Over the past thousand years the Hungarian diet has held its sessions from Sopron to Szabolcs, from Besztercebánya to Szeged, from Nagyszombat to Rákos field, and since the 18th century primarily in Pozsony, today known as Bratislava. In July 1843, the reform opposition tabled an old proposal that the legislature should be moved to the new capital, Pest-Buda.

Dramma giocoso in two acts by Lorenzo Da Ponte, music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) "Così fan tutte" puts some of Mozart’s most glorious music to the comic, but also poignant story of two pairs of young lovers whose fidelity is tested by a cynical philosopher and a wily maid. All’s well that ends well. Or, at least, so it seems. Within the walls of the palace one of the most atmospheric courtyards is the Apothekerhof (‘Apothecary’s Court’), which provides a wonderfully intimate setting for musical performances in the summer.

July 5 and July 6 are public Holidays in Czech Republic. Most banks and shops, and offices will be closed. Most of supermarkets and shopping centres are often stay open. It’s no problem on these days to visit a concert, exhibition, restaurant or bar.
Public transport doesn't run as often on these days as on weekdays. There are also special limited timetables in operation during the summer holidays. July 5 - Day of the Slavic Apostles Cyril and Methodius.

The owners of Prague’s pubs and restaurants will have to chose one of the three available statuses for their establishments – smoking allowed mode, non-smoking or mixed mode. From July 1, 2010 the new anti-smoking regulations are to come into effect in the Czech Republic. The last one is designed for those joints that have physically isolated space for smokers. According to the new regulations the smoking/non-smoking mode is to be clearly stated at the entrance with help of special stickers.

The Golden Lane in Prague Castle is closed from 3 May 2010 due to an extensive reconstruction for the time necessary for reconstruction. The Rosenberg Palace  (later Institute of Noblewomen) is opened for public from April 2010 for the first time in its history. The visitors have a possibility to see unique chapel of the Holy Trinity and Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary.
