Stop at the ancient Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz, founded in 1133 by Leopold the Holy. This romanesque basilica has a contrasting gothic style chancel and an interesting Chapter House, which was once the living quarters of the order and which now contains the tomb of Frederic the Bellicose, the last of the Babenbergers.
